Lubrication Method Classification
k≤6: Grease lubrication, typically via grease cup
6<k≤50: Oil lubrication, via needle valve oil cup
50<k≤100: Oil lubrication, oil cup or splash lubrication; water cooling and circulating oil cooling are required
k>100: Oil lubrication, forced pressure lubrication
1. Oil Bath Lubrication
For oil bath lubrication, the oil level shall reach the midpoint of the lowest rolling element of the rolling bearing, i.e., half the roller height. If the ratio of actual operating speed to the limiting permissible speed of the bearing is less than 0.4, a higher oil level is acceptable.
2. Oil Volume for Splash Lubrication
The oil level for splash lubrication follows the recommended level for gear oil slingers. The maximum allowable depth is 3 times the gear tooth height, and the optimal depth is 1/2 of the gear tooth height.
